I have dedicated most of my life to fly fishing and I hope I enjoy sharing my passion for this amazing sport on this site for you. I started fly fishing at age 6 about 30 years ago. Since then I have fished in almost every state in the US and have caught thousands of trout that have molded me into the angler I am today. We are not elitest fly fisherman on this website. Even if you have never held a fly rod in your hand, you are welcome here to ask questions and learn everything we have to offer. I have spent thousands of hours and several years creating this website. I know it's not perfect, but I work hard every day to make it better. Before my mission is complete this will be one of the largest flyfishing resources on the internet. Troutster.com was started a few years ago during the cold spring. Since I could not go fishing at the time, I decided to start writing about it. It was originally located at Browntrout.info. After acquiring the Troutster.com domain about a year later I decided to expand from the limited subject of brown trout, to the vast subject of fishing with a fly rod to make a website more helpful.
